Hot on the heels of 'Off The Bone', his previous and acclaimed EP, Holldën turns up the heat once more with 'Melotrauma', a 3-track troublemaker designed for deep night warfare, with its surgically pounding patterns fumigated with grooves at turns hypnotic, granular and sensuous.

To be sure, Holldën navigates musical dynamics in a way that makes stagnation impossible, instead picking up from where he left off, and developing afterthoughts into a plethora of different tastes and feelings, to form each new work on his growing discography.

Hence, while you hear echoes of 'Off The Bone' all over 'Melotrauma', they emanate more like smoke from steam valves being expelled from some gargantuous rollercoaster of drops, crescendos and dribbles.

And although a common thread runs through the ensemble, each track presents a different suggestion for the beholder, whether it's the hyped up hypno-banger of 'Melotrauma', the circular urgency of 'Let Them Eat Cake' or the infectious groove-fest of 'Sobriety Made Me Do It'.

For all its conciseness, Melotrauma EP's relentless rhythm emerges as a powerful message to all techno lovers: "let the bodies shake and emotions flow".

Passions run high in what is yet another winner from a producer who shows no signs of letting up.
