Following the edgy sensuousness of his previous EP - 'Would I Lie?' - on Kuiper Noise, Holldën splashes back to his label with yet another record packed with all the ingredients that have become associated with his musical persona: flavor, urgency and mystery.

But while its predecessor relied on synthetic landscapes to strike a familiar, quasi warm, tone ahead of its obvious dancefloor aspirations, 'Remember The Unicorn Raid' uses the same runway to propel itself into more menacing heights, flirting at each turn with a double edged sword of both distorted melodies and all-out trouncing.

This is certainly the case with both the title track and 'Defined By Madness', where peak time implications become apparent through a covenant of dark humors and repetitive percussions, riding on top of phased arpeggios and devious chords.

Whereas the flipside - if we can call it that - comes in the form of tracks 'I Kill Oil Free' and 'Finger Trio Dip Night', a duo of incendiary heartbreakers built for instant connection across the board, defying expectations as they can slip into early set magic or closing credits apotheosis.

It's hard to predict where Holldën's ever evolving techno fantasies will land him next, musically speaking. But one thing's for sure: with this latest outing he further cements his current streak of highly infectious tunes built for both hard knockin' joy and off-road warfare.
